Joe Clark
Chairman & Founder
Joe has been active in aviation from the moment he left the University of Washington. His aviation career began in the early 1960's when his friendship with Clay Lacy and aviation pioneer Bill Lear stimulated Joe's interest in business jets. In 1966 he founded Jet Air, the first Learjet dealership in the Northwest. His career in aviation grew quickly with marketing and sales assignments for Gates Learjet and The Raisbeck Group. In 1981 Clark teamed up with Milt Kuolt to form Horizon Air, a highly successful regional carrier that was later sold to Alaska Airlines. In 1986 he founded Avstar, Inc. and established a worldwide sales system to market ex-military jet training aircraft to American companies and private individuals. Joe Clark loves challenges and designing new products for aviation.
William B. Ashworth
President
Bill has over 40 years experience in commercial aviation engineering, FAA type certification, and transport airplane modification and maintenance. His career includes over 20 years in MRO technical management including serving as President, Goodrich Aviation Technical Services, a 2,000 employee transport airplane heavy maintenance, and aircraft modification business. For 15 years Bill held various Aircraft Certification positions with the Federal Aviation Administration including serving as the Manager, Seattle Aircraft Certification Office. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree, in Aeronautical Engineering, and a Masters in Technical Management. He is also an active licensed airframe and powerplant technician and a private pilot.
Mike Stowell
Executive Vice President & CTO
Mike Stowell joined Aviation Partners with over 30 years of aerospace engineering experience, primarily in aircraft structures. Working first on API's GII program, he became an integral part of the APB team with the 737-BBJ Program. Mike has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Oregon State University.
Michael G. Zubovic
VP Finance & Administration
Mike has nearly 25 years experience in aerospace, and has served in a number of roles in the areas of Finance, HR, IT, and Contract Administration. Mike holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in Accounting from the University of Akron, and began his career in public accounting with KPMG. He joined Goodrich Corporation in 1981, and became part of their Aerospace Division in 1987. He has held various financial and administrative positions in Goodrich's Ice Protection, Landing Gear Systems, and MRO Heavy Maintenance businesses, and most recently served as VP – Finance and Administration for Aviation Technical Services in Everett, WA. Mike has served on the Boards of the YMCA of Snohomish County, the Economic Development Council of Snohomish County, the Aerospace Futures Alliance, and is a former member of the Governor's Washington Council on Aerospace.
Dean Poor
VP Operations
Dean brings over 20 years of operations and general management experience in aerospace manufacturing to Aviation Partners Boeing. After beginning his career at Douglas Aircraft Company, Dean held various leadership positions in the composites manufacturing sector of the aerospace industry. He has an Engineering degree from U.C. Berkeley and an MS degree from UCLA's Anderson School of Management.
Patrick LaMoria
VP Sales & Marketing
Patrick LaMoria joined APB in July of 2001 as a director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining APB, Patrick was employed at The Boeing Company in the Commercial Airplanes Group. During his eleven years with Boeing, his positions included marketing manager for Commercial Aviation Services and manager of New Business Development for the Aircraft Interiors Responsibility Center. Patrick received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a double major in Finance and Marketing, from the University of Oregon.
